From stacking the rings traditionally on the structure, to serving these 'donuts' to customers, this toy is more versatile than it may seem. The wobbling base adds an element of unpredictability, exposing children to cause and effect and introducing them to concepts such as equilibrium and centre of mass, which are core principles of physics.
 
As children place the structure on its side, or roll the rings, it introduces the concepts of motion and momentum. Children experiment with different force, angles and surfaces to observe the effects of the rolling motion.
